01 ATP Cleaning VerificationRapid surface, water and protein-residue checks 10 sec–30 min
What it checks
  • Surface ATP
  • Total water ATP
  • Free ATP
  • Protein residue
  • Allergen-cleaning residue

Verify cleaning before production and act immediately when a result fails.

Where it is usedSurfaces and water systems

Food-contact surfaces, processing equipment, CIP rinse water, process water and cooling towers.

Result timeATP: 10–15 seconds

UltraSnap in 10 seconds; AquaSnap in 15 seconds.

Visual protein tests

Approximately 1–30 minutes, depending on sensitivity and method.

EquipmentEnSURE Touch for ATP

UltraSnap, SuperSnap and AquaSnap require the luminometer. AllerSnap and PRO-Clean are read visually without an instrument.

For whomSanitation and quality teams

Food, beverage and dairy plants, central kitchens, healthcare, hospitality and pharmaceutical production.

Why teams use ATP verification

Objective RLU measurements replace visual guesswork, support pass/fail limits and make corrective action possible before production. EnSURE Touch adds guided workflows, wireless result transfer and trend reporting through SureTrend Cloud.

02 Microbial ContaminationIndicator organisms, environmental screening and pathogen methods 6 h–48 h

  • Enterobacteriaceae
  • Coliforms
  • E. coli
  • Listeria spp.
  • L. monocytogenes
  • Salmonella spp.
SamplesFood and environment

Production surfaces, food, dairy products, beverages, meat, seafood, produce and selected liquids.

Result timeMethod-dependent

MicroSnap: approximately 6–8 hours. InSite environmental tests: from 24 hours. BAX workflows vary from several hours after enrichment to about 30 hours total.

EquipmentMatch the workflow

MicroSnap needs incubation and EnSURE Touch. InSite is visually interpreted after incubation. BAX tests require compatible BAX X5 or Q7 workflow equipment.

For whomFood safety and laboratory teams

Plant QA/QC, hygiene and environmental monitoring teams, food laboratories and production-release testing.

How to choose the correct microbial method

Use MicroSnap for rapid quantitative indicator-organism checks, InSite for simple environmental screening, and BAX PCR methods when a pathogen-specific laboratory workflow is required. Exact enrichment, confirmation and release procedures depend on the sample matrix, target and applicable standard.

Questions before ordering

Choosing a hygiene test

What is ATP cleaning verification?

ATP testing gives a rapid indication of organic residue on cleaned surfaces or in water, so sanitation teams can act before production starts.

Which Hygiena tests require EnSURE Touch?

UltraSnap, SuperSnap, AquaSnap and MicroSnap are read with EnSURE Touch. MicroSnap also requires incubation. AllerSnap and PRO-Clean give visual colour results without a reader.

How long do MicroSnap tests take?

MicroSnap indicator organism methods typically provide quantitative results in approximately 6–8 hours, depending on the target and protocol.

Can T&L Group help select Listeria and Salmonella tests?

Yes. We match environmental screening, indicator-organism or BAX pathogen methods to the sample, required result time, laboratory workflow and daily test volume.

Where is T&L Group an official Hygiena distributor?

T&L Group is an official Hygiena distributor in Lithuania only.

Need help selecting the right tests?
