Rapid strip test for Beta-lactams, Tetracyclines, Streptomycin and Chlorampenicol detection

Priciple

4 SENSOR ( milk antibiotic test kit ) is the first and unique multiple test for the detection of Beta-lactams, Tetracyclines, dihydrostreptomycin, streptomycin and chloramphenicol in milk in one single operation. 4SENSOR helps producers and processors to save time and to prevent expenses by combining four single tests in one strip.

4SENSOR is a rapid competitive assay in a dipstick format involving specific receptors and antibodies.

The convenient dipstick format makes testing easy, accurate and economical. The test can be used in-situ for daily checks or in laboratories for analysis of series of milk samples.

The development of the test was made in collaboration with Danone-Russia and All-Russia Dairy Industry Research Institute.

GOST R53774-2010 APPROVED

Good to Know

The detection of residual antibiotics such as beta-lactams, tetracyclines, streptomycin and chloramphenicol in milk is of great concern for the dairy industry because of the potential interfering and adverse effects of antibiotic residues frequently found in milk. Since January 2011, the Russian Dairy Authority has consolidated the requirements for drug residue screening in milk. According to the new Russian Federal Law 163 (2010), dairy producers should test for all the above antibiotics on a routine basis. This regulation applies also to milk imported into Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan, as a new Customs Union has been established between the 3 countries.

In order to answer these specific requirements, Unisensor has developed a new multiplex dipstick assay for the rapid and simultaneous detection of betalactams, tetracyclines, streptomycin and chloramphenicol in milk. This unique test does not require any sample preparation and gives a clear result by visual observation or using an instrumental reader in 10 minutes. The presence of each antibiotic family can be discriminated thanks to the use of 4 separate test lines. This rapid dipstick assay is therefore ideal for milk industry in Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan as well as for European factories exporting milk to the Customs Union.
